Here’s what some happy customers have said about our work:
Jewels on Ninth offers the following jewellery repair and cleaning services in Cranbrook BC
Professional Jewellery Cleaning and inspection
Every piece of jewellery that comes into our store starts with a personal examination under a microscope by Brian Masich, the owner, and experienced goldsmith.
No matter the size of the jewellery, or the level of cleaning needed, Jewels on Ninth knows the exact fix it needs to shine bright again: A little polishing and buffing as needed, or a full deep clean on an old piece that has been neglected for years.
Basic ring polish: Have your rings gotten dull over time? We can have them cleaned up and looking shiny and new again with a ring polish.
Broken Jewellery Repair
Jewellery, unfortunately, breaks from normal wear and tear. If the clasp on your favourite necklace came loose, or a link in your bracelet has wiggled off track, Jewels on Ninth will return your jewellery to working shape. Broken earrings and loose diamond rings—any problem can be fixed by our experienced jewellers.
Jewels on Ninth can even replace lost stones. Bring your broken jewellery into our store to speak with one of the owners directly about the steps we can take to restore your items.
Ring Sizing
A proper fit is important to Jewels on Ninth. Rings should be sized to fit your fingers like a glove. Jewels on Ninth resize rings of all materials: gold, silver, and platinum. Our qualified jewellers can remove and rework the band of your poorly fitted ring easily and quickly without losing its original shine. This type of jewellery reworking requires specialized equipment and years of experience to provide satisfactory results.
Jewels on Ninth also repairs broken shanks and replaces lost stones. Whatever your ring problem, we have a solution. We promise the end product will be a perfect fit!
Ring prong and claw re-tipping
Diamonds and gems should be securely in place at all times. The prong setting of your diamonds not only secures them in place but maximizes brilliance by allowing light to bounce off of its surface. Over time, these prongs can wear out and become loose. Loose or broken prongs take away from your diamond’s brilliance. Even worse, you could lose them! You don’t want to lose your diamonds, do you? Jewels on Ninth can professionally inspect, tighten, and re-tip old prongs wherever necessary.
Rhodium Plating for white gold rings
Your white gold engagement ring took your breath away when it was first offered to you. It shined brilliantly; it was everything you imagined. Over the years, its original glamour may have faded. This is a common problem for white gold rings: they lose their original rhodium plating as they age.
Rhodium is a metal more expensive than gold. For that reason, it is uncommon to see entire rings created from this brittle material, but it creates the amazing white finish of white gold on a gold band. A fresh rhodium plating makes any diamonds look bigger and brighter because of its reflective qualities. Jewels on Ninth can apply a new rhodium plating to your old rings to restore their original glitter and glam.
Diamond & Gemstone Setting
If you have lost or broken a diamond, precious, or semi-precious gemstone, Jewels on Ninth can help you replace it. We will help you find a stone that matches to restore the original look of your jewellery.
Gemstone setting requires specialized skills and plenty of experience. It is important to find a jeweller who is not only an experienced goldsmith but one who specializes in diamonds. Jewels on Ninth does all of the above! Not only do we reset your diamonds and gems, but we find the initial problem in the setting and repair that as well to ensure your diamonds are securely in place.
