Magic in Mexico: Brent Hall and Cydnee Payne’s excellent engagement story
Twila and Joerg Kamp not only bought their ring at Jewels on Ninth—they were engaged right in the store! Way back in 1996 these two CreJewels on Ninth has helped plenty of lovebirds plan the perfect proposal. With a ring in hand that Brent Hall knew his girlfriend would love, he and Cydnee Payne flew all the way to paradise before he popped the question.
Cydnee and Brent had been dating for over three years when they took a trip to Mexico. The couple stayed at Riu Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, a beautiful resort along Mexico’s Pacific coast. Travellers flock here for its well-known beaches, cobblestone streets, exciting nightlife, and romantic boutiques. Here’s a hint: sunny days and warm nights make for fantastic engagement stories.
October 29, 2016, was the last day of this couple’s trip. However, Brent had one more special night planned before they headed home. “On our last night we had planned an excursion,” said Cydnee. The excursion was called “Rhythms of the Night,” and involved an hour long boat ride to a secret beach. “When we pulled up to the beach, we saw it was lit by candles and fire torches that stretched across the sand,” said Cydnee. “And we watched a show, which was amazing!”
The couple returned to their resort for a candlelit dinner. As if being whisked away for a vacation in Mexico and a secret beach excursion wasn’t enough, Brent made their special trip even better by popping the question in paradise. Cydnee was ecstatic: “When we had finished eating, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
The rest is history as this happy couple plans their dream wedding.
